On October 15th, 2023, an important milestone was reached in the journey of the World Education Policy (WEP). The consortium was officially launched on a global scale in India, during an international Early Education Conference that brought together over 300 educators and academicians from around the world. The launch event served as a platform to introduce WEP’s mission, goals, and strategies to a diverse audience of education professionals. It provided an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and contribute to the collective effort of transforming education accessibility for all. The choice of India as the launch location was deliberate, as the country has been at the forefront of addressing educational challenges and implementing innovative solutions. By launching WEP in India, the initiative aimed to highlight the importance of early education and the need for inclusive and equitable learning opportunities from the very beginning of a child’s educational journey. One of WEP’s major objectives for 2023 is the development of a comprehensive framework for early childhood education. This framework emphasizes the importance of holistic development, play-based learning, and inclusive practices. It provides guidance to educators and policymakers on how to create nurturing and stimulating environments that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Furthermore, WEP’s role in the educational landscape is crucial in promoting international cooperation and knowledge sharing. The consortium will organize conferences, workshops, and webinars where educators and policymakers can exchange ideas, best practices, and lessons learned. These platforms will facilitate cross-cultural learning and foster collaboration that will lead to the most innovative solutions in education. This alarming revelation served as a catalyst for change, inspiring the birth of the World Education Policy (WEP). Driven by a shared vision of education accessibility for all, WEP embarked on a journey to eradicate the barriers that hindered millions from receiving a quality education. From its inception, WEP dedicated itself to advocacy, research, and collaboration. Recognizing the complexity of the global education crisis, WEP understood that a comprehensive approach was necessary to address the multifaceted challenges hindering education accessibility. With this in mind, WEP began assembling a consortium of influential stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, NGOs, and experts from various fields. The consortium became the backbone of WEP’s mission, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to develop innovative solutions. Through rigorous research and analysis, WEP sought to understand the root causes of educational disparities and identify effective strategies to overcome them.
